The holidays are coming up – can you believe it? With spending on the minds of most consumers, now is a great time to start planning your holiday-themed marketing plan. One of the best ways to directly reach your customers is through an email marketing campaign. Here are some ideas to consider:

1. Send a special coupon.
Offer a decent percentage off for your products or services, such as 15% off or free shipping, if it applies. You can do this around Black Friday, or any of the holidays during this timeframe.

2. Participate in Giving Tuesday.
This is an annual event held the Tuesday after Thanksgiving each year. One way you can associate this with an email marketing campaign is to make a donation to a charity, and offer to donate X amount additional based on sales. This is a great way to give back while encouraging others to do the same.

3. Creative, custom holiday messaging.
So much of the time, we send email marketing messages related to sales and educating our audience about certain topics. It’s nice to send out a note simply wishing your clients a happy holiday season with their friends and family. In this case, it’s not about open rates – it’s about showing you care.

4. Consider a Year in Review message.
Tell your customers about the great year you’ve had! Include stats, accomplishments, fun facts – and share your excitement for 2019 with your email marketing base.
