2022 strategy 1

New year, new marketing strategy? Maybe, maybe not. Depending on your marketing audience and goals, you may find yourself sticking with the tried and true or shaking it up a little. Regardless, as we head into the final days of the year, now is a great time to consider your business' marketing strategy for 2022.

Here are a few marketing services to consider as we head into the new year.

1. Search Engine Optimization — It's not surprise that consumers turn to Google and other search engines when they are in need of a product or service, but can they find your business? Optimizing your website for search engines has always been important, and will continue to be as we head into 2022. While directory sites find a more prominent place within search results, you will need to make sure your business stands out and is ranked high among other sites.

2. Video — Over the past few years, we have seen a huge increase in the use of video. This isn't going anywhere, and will likely continue to evolve and grow. Video is a great way to tell a story to your target audience and connect with them by putting a face to the name. Company story and customer testimonial videos are always a great place to start!

3. Email Marketing — Content is still king and having a solid email strategy is a great way to disseminate that content. Email marketing continues to give small business owners an avenue to reach a large audience for a positive ROI. And, email marketing isn't going anywhere either. It continues to be a strong marketing tool and that has only grown as small business owners are losing some control over other marketing tools they have historically used.

4. Trade Shows and Events — There is immense value to attending trade shows and events within your industry or an industry you have interest in. In 2022, we believe a hybrid approach is likely to continue. If you haven't found a virtual platform preference, like Zoom or Microsoft Teams, it's probably time to do so. While we expect that there will be an opportunity to attend events in person, there likely will continue to be a virtual aspect or option.

With all of these marketing avenues, personalization will need to be front and center as you pull together a strategy. More and more consumers expect content to be personalized to them. Keep that in mind as you build your strategy for 2022!
