Keeping your website up-to-date is more involved than updating your address or phone number every now and then. Not only do customers expect seamless, up-to-date websites but search engines favor them as well. Being consistent about website updates can help improve your online success and your customers' experience!

Video Transcript:

Your website is usually the first stop in a consumer's experience. Is it giving the right impression? In today's world, an outdated website is almost as bad as not having one. Trends, algorithms, and user expectations change quickly, so it's important that you're keeping your website fresh and up-to-date.

Consistently verifying that your site looks and functions well across the board can help in many areas. Existing and first-time customers will return if you can provide a seamless experience across devices. In addition, Google favors sites that are mobile-friendly, up-to-date, and provide a quality user experience.

Updated content goes beyond just making sure your address is correct (although, that's important too!). Make sure you're adding things like fresh content, engaging videos, and persuasive selling points. Posting things like helpful blogs and educational video series can make your website more appealing over competitors and favorable to Google.

Website components can also become outdated and break along with older technology. Staying on top of these updates is an important part of your website's performance. Site speed analysis is another thing that should be addressed periodically. If your users can navigate your site at lightning speed, they're more likely to convert.

At the end of the day, treat your website like you treat your business. A clean and orderly presentation combined with a healthy engine will provide you online success and happy customers.

I'm Mary! Thanks for watching.
